one can afford to sit on the sidelines. In today's economy and during
tough budget negotiations, we must all take part in supporting the
NYSCA budget and protecting arts
funding.
Whether
you are new to Arts Day or a seasoned veteran of our advocacy efforts
at the capitol, after your legislative meetings, come to the New York State Museum for an Arts Day Reception from 5 - 7pm.
- Advocacy briefing sessions on the budget & funding. How to make the most effective case for NYSCA funding.
- Information on the history of the State's allocations to NYSCA and the status of the current budget proposals for arts funding.
- Materials for the lawmakers and their staff, which clearly explains the impact of the arts in communities.
- Forum to meet and network with colleagues.
- Tips & Tools to make the most of your legislative meetings.
- And Buttons to wear and leave with lawmakers reminding them of the value of the arts.
